Social Security during the government shutdown

Well, I've done it. Finally submitted an application for disability. I learned a couple of weeks ago that sleep apnea is considered on their list and the jobs situation is woeful. So here I go.... I have also heard that the government shut down is slowing the process down. I understand that a denial is standard practice... so I am prepared to get a lawyer to go through the appeal process. Anyone know a good social security lawyer?
